Systems Engineer

What you will do

• Design and build integrations between CRM, ERP, accounting, inventory, files, and custom platforms.
• Model the data that has to stay true across systems: customers, jobs, stock, invoices, and status.
• Own deployment, environments, monitoring, backups, and the recovery path for client platforms.
• Replace brittle spreadsheet and inbox bridges with jobs, queues, and APIs that can be observed.
• Partner with developers and forward deployed engineers so a new workflow does not create a second source of truth.
• Use AI to read vendor docs, draft mappings, and inspect logs, then verify against real records.

What you bring

• Hands-on experience operating or integrating production systems: APIs, webhooks, databases, identity, and cloud.
• You have been on both sides: using a business system to get work done, and building the connection that feeds it.
• Comfort with data quality, retries, idempotency, and the quiet failures that show up on a Friday afternoon.
• You already work AI-first: assistants for runbooks, mapping, and debugging, with you still responsible for the change.
• You can explain a sync problem to a non-engineer without hiding behind the vendor’s names.

AI-first, in practice

• You use models to accelerate integration work: schema mapping, test cases, and first-pass adapters.
• You can add an AI step on top of a clean integration, not instead of one.
• You treat logs, traces, and evals as part of the system, including when a model is in the path.
